Abstract: The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is the Chinese Ministry of Education's non-profit organization that provides support for international academic exchange with China. CSC provides both funding for Chinese citizens and residents to study abroad, and for foreign students and scholars to study in China. From April 29th 2021 to June 5th 2022, Mr. Zhicheng Teng was sponsored by CSC to perform research work in the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London (ICL) as a visiting PhD student, supervised by Professor Dario Farina. This presentation will start with a brief introduction of ICL. Then a scientific report on sEMG-based finger force estimation method and its application in hand exoskeleton control will be given. Lastly, some life experience and perceptions of overseas study in the UK will be shared.
