讲座人简介:
Gleb Vdovin received his PhD in 1996 from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, with thesis "Adaptive mirror micromachined in silicon". He is a founder of OKO Technologies, a company that develops and produces adaptive optical components and systems since 1997. In 1997 he received Rudolph Kingslake Medal and Prize form SPIE. In 2003 he received VIDI NWO (Dutch Science Foundation) personal research award.
His research includes simulation, design, development and production of custom opto-electronic and information processing systems. Applications include adaptive optics, metrology, imaging, spectral instruments, medical optics, free-space optical communications and laser beam control
He proposed and developed the Micromachined Membrane Deformable Mirror (MMDM). The technology has been refined by OKO Technologies, resulting in world-wide applications in astronomy, microscopy, data storage, ophthalmology and ultrafast optics. An integrated CMOS wavefront sensor was proposed. The device was able to measure up to 60 basic aberrations with a very high frame rate (up to 3 kHz).
